We went through this bullshit with masks! Stores and businesses open to the public are a PUBLIC ACCOMODATION, not private property, and that they have no right to require masks, vax, or anything else under color of law, and that they are in fact committing harassment and trespass against me if they refuse my lawful entry to conduct legitimate business (buy food, purchase hardware, etc) So a protected right is up to the store owner? Nope! he cannot deny me access because I wear green pants.

"Fuck-it I don't care" may well be the correct response, but the point of these "muh property" no-gun-zone laws is to deter and demoralize; if they do find out you are carrying somehow, they can call the cops who will come arrest you, take all your guns away, and put you in jail. You are lucky if you are simply asked to leave. "All they can do is ask you to leave" is the status quo this Tennessee bill would restore; what was the law in New York until 2022.
Which can happen if you have to defend yourself in the wrong place. It can change the entire calculus of carrying even if you're really trying not to care. At what point do you draw in a violent robbery, if the perp could run away and the police in the nuthouse city you are shopping in are going to come and charge you?

As has been pointed out, "No guns" signs are everywhere in Nashville. Tennessee has crime-infested Democrat-run cities with Soros prosecutors and there are many cases of violent criminals in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga etc. with mile-long rap sheets and dozens of arrests for aggravated assaults, robberies, rapes etc. who are released to offend again and again and again, no different than in New York. What is different about Tennessee compared to New York, as has been pointed out, is a much bigger problem of staggering number of gun thefts from vehicles.
This bill is very badly needed.

I am not a fan of the government telling people what they can and what they cannot do on their own property.
As Americans, freedom should be at the top of the list, for everything. The .gov has infringed and desecrated so many of the freedoms of the people over the years.

do you, or anyone you know lives in TN, I know several people that live there. they have no idea what you're talking about? Maybe Nashville is a shit hole, but the rest of the state is a very anti-liberal state. I have spent weeks there ( NE of Knoxville ) and I have never seen a "no guns" sign anywhere ??? I get my info from people on the ground? where did you get your info from??
When I was down that way for vacation last year, I saw one No Guns Allowed sign. It was at Anakeesta. Anakeesta Mountaintop Adventure Park in Gatlinburg Tennessee
We went to hundreds of places when down there and this was the only place that had the sign, I was looking to see if it was common, it was not. Spoke with many people from the area and they were a bit confused as to the question.

It's a public accommodation open to ALL of the public. When they open to the public they are must respect rights. Their corporate policy can NEVER supercede the Federal Constitution, it's an absurd argument that one makes. The business is bound by the Federal Constitution and Art 6 Clause 2 says it all, anything to the contrary is notwithstanding!

Hospital workers and people who are having any issues with hospitals. here is a summary of case law defining Hospitals as places of public accommodation and the statutory authority also. This can pertain to a host of other businesses.
