As we all know, the names of legislation almost always means the opposite of what the law actually does. So how are toll payers going to get screwed this time around?
"The legislation will require that drivers receive their bills by mail within 30 days and that tolling authorities set up a website where they can pay toll bills online. Consumers will also be able to sign up for text or email alerts when they receive a toll fee.
Presently, some motorists have had their vehicle registration suspended because of outstanding toll bills. The new plan prohibits registration suspensions for unpaid tolls and requires drivers be notified in advance if they face a suspension."
Tell me again why I should give a shit about crap that protects people in the place that causes hardships in MY life?
If you cannot be bothered to pay your tolls, which you know DAMNED well is happening, then you SHOULD lose your registration AND your license.

The state is moving toward cash-less tolls - no one in the toll both, if you don't have an ez pass, they mail you a bill. If the camera misreads your license plate, someone else gets your bill. There are a lot of people getting tripped up by these things.
