For rally #3 organized by SCOPE he refused to have NYSRPA people contacted through him. He was a major asshole obstructionist. He really focuses on downstate 2A activism and once again upstate is invisible. He's from the old boys network.

Although many 2A forums discuss Tom King's history of financial improprieties, Fudd nature, ineffectiveness, and old boy lineage, most do not connect his role in our recent turmoil. A significant contributing cause for the legislative second amendment abuse now being spewed out of Albany is that the ineffective Tom King did not get off his lazy ass and energize his Fudd Brigade to turn out for the 2018 mid term election. If King had turned out enough Fudds, to just counter the organized progressive city folk (who were voting outside of their home districts in key flip districts), there is an arguable chance these new bills could have died in the NYS Senate. A few playtime photo ops, a wishy washy email or two, and a Diker radio interview is a lazy unmotivated showing. Shame on you Tom King.

In the case of the NYSRPA, the percentage of the direct NYSPRA money going to work product is ridiculously low. It makes some notorious 501(c)(3) psuedo charity schemes look generous. I found different paths to send my money where I was more comfortable, including (but not limited to) direct campaign contributions for endangered pro 2A politicians with them being personally aware why they saw my money or support. There were also mechanisms to support pro 2A court costs without fattening middlemen. In terms of supporting lobbyists (and their lifestyle) I usually get more satisfaction, and potential impact by personally making my point but I have contributed to lobby group's "public service" announcements.
