You are absolutely correct. We are becoming just like England where the cops ruthlessly enforce the law against normal citizens but are afraid of the real criminals.

The point was they will do the same thing to the gun industry that they did with the tobacco industry.
Use a child health crisis as reason to go after the gun industry because people will support that. And they are sacrificing black children to do it.
But if you point out this Gangsta Culture you are labeled racist and that is how it's allowed to fester. They use their attacks of racism to advance REAL racism. And they will use the ensuing crisis to strip away your rights. No one in the 2A community looks at these kids as the next gen of 2A freedom warriors. We do understand (for the most part) that rights come with responsibilities.
This is what they do. Create or allow a crisis, campaign against it, put up a solution that creates another crisis for the other side to campaign against...and so on. This is how they drive a common agenda while maintaining the illusion that they are not. It's why nothing great seems to get done even when all 3 seats of power are held by the same party, especially the right...even Republicans and Trump. Because they don't want it to.
And no one on either side talks enough about the 800lb gorillas in the room. Parental responsibility. The disintegration of the 2 parent family. Black poverty (and not that reparations BS). Gangsta culture influence. Some of the outcomes of the Great Society.
