New York State Police Newsroom: Traffic stop leads to the recovery of an illegal firearm and narcotics seizure

On March 8, 2019, State Police in Fonda arrested Kyle W. Mccomsey, 29, of North Creek and Michael M. Flores, 32, of Amsterdam for possession of an illegal firearm, narcotics and marijuana possession, and resisting arrest.

At 7:55 p.m., Troopers assigned to SP Fonda observed a grey Hyundai Santa Fe traveling on Union St. in the City of Amsterdam with a suspended registration. While interviewing the operator Mccomsey, he admitted to possessing a .38 caliber revolver, which was determined to be possessed illegally. Additionally, a search of the vehicle yielded the seizure of a quantity of cocaine. The passenger, Flores, was found to be in possession of marijuana and resisted arrest while be taken into custody.
