Ya know... I've been thinking about this for a long time... how can someone get a felony in one state for something that is Constitutionally protected (barring no other crimes committed), but yet how can it be federally enforced in another state that it's not a felony (or in this case no laws if Constitutional Carry applies)?
As far as I'm concerned, it can't be a felony (federally) unless all 50 states agree that it is indeed a felony that can be enforced through all 50 states.
What I'm getting at is if someone is carrying a pistol in their car, not doing anything wrong, and they get pulled over for a routine traffic stop. The officer sees the pistol in the back seat (say it's unloaded and in a clear storage tote, no kids around, out of reach of driver, and ammo separate) and the driver has no pistol license. Ok, sure they can get in trouble in NY (can't own/buy guns in NYS), but it technically can't be a felony that would apply to say Texas, where it wouldn't apply, because it's a Constitutional Carry state (no permit needed to possess).
I am glad to hear more states are jumping on the bandwagon of Constitutional Carry... 5 more in potentially... Virginia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Florida, and hopefully Nebraska...

Horse shit. There are no routine traffic stops on the Meadowbrook… if you are unlucky enough to attract a trooper’s attention you were either driving like a rabid asshole (well, more than the usual assholes that seem to populate that roadway) or you hit something.
I’ve been on the Meadowbrook at all hours, in sketchy cars, hell I’ve even fallen asleep and driven off onto the grass then woke up. I’ve broken down, I’ve pulled over to assist someone else broken down… and I have never had so much as a second glance from a trooper on any parkway in 25 years of living on LI.
These folks attracted attention to themselves somehow that wasn’t possible to be ignored.
