Transfer of an “Other”

Quick question for anyone out there with knowledge. Especially any FFLs. Supposed a person builds an “other” firearm built from a stripped lower that was transferred as an “other” and then decides to sell that firearm to a private party. How would the FFL transfer that? Would it be transferred as an other?

Yes. Not an FFL but it transfers out the way it came in.

So when you pick up a new stripped lower it is transferred as an other. If you build it into a rifle then want to transfers it again it will transfer as whatever configuration it comes into the shop as. A rifle will transfer as a rifle. A pistol will transfer as a pistol. A stripped lower will transfer as an other. A firearm which meets the definition as an other will be transferred as an other.

Best bet might be to sell the lower through the FFL as an other again, and sell the rest of the parts privately in a separate transaction.
