Trap season is almost here!

So, anyone else getting excited for the Trap Season? Only a month away. One of my clubs is having practices. It is a great sport.

Crappy winter this year and looking forwad to the summer sports!

It's been five seasons since I last shot NTTL for Adams Center...I plan on changing that this year.

Hopefully I will see you out there. I shoot for Harrisville. Had a great practice today. A 23, 24 and another 23.

We did a winter league at Glenn Grieg as well. Feels good to get out and shoot without a bulky winter jacket on!

Well first night of NTTL and I score a 25! Not a bad way to start off a season.

I've never shot in any league or their fields for that matter. It's always been in someone's backyard. No good excuse either, I'm only 15 miles away from the Vernon National Shooting Preserve and it is a shooter's dream.

Im really thinking about joining our local club to see whats its all about. I think id like it...also need to study up on again what trap vs skeet is.... Iguess theres a difference... thats how much I know.......Ive shot some clays from a spring thrower in my yard a little but the pattern is pretty similiar each throw unless you move it but gives me an idea of it i guess.

Trap is a five station five shot per station event. The "birds" are moving away from the shooter in a narrowish field of angles.

Skeet has multiple stations with birds emanating from more than one location at different elevations. Many different angles with some birds traveling toward you, away from you, and across.

I shot skeet once or twice. Very challenging.

We read this bill at our club. Unless we're wrong, it's believed this only applies to NEW fields.

Running strings uninterrupted is a head game. Finally figured that out.
