Tree with red line is target tree. Between
the 2 white lines, the tree is hollowed out (by more than half) so much the woodpeckers stopped coming to it.
^^^I agree with this, too (@Jmac00's post). Center rot and leaners (depending on what and how they're leaning) are the two I look very carefully before deciding who is going to fall it, me or my guys. Well that and anything wider than my saw (20"). At that point given the value of time it is cheaper for me to have those guys come in and do everything and then I just split/stack.
Ps plus ever since the first time I have been getting giant piles of free woodchips.
get some tree climbing gear for your feet .. and climb up that sucker .. stick jars of tannerite in them wood pecker holes .. climb back down and start shooting at the highest one and work your way down .. @GoodGuywitha9mm
2 things lowered my original quote: I told him I wanted to keep the wood and I was paying cash.
I told him I didn't want the branches or anything smaller than his arm and He also ground up an old stump while he was there for nothing.
Bringing up a thread that's a little old, but that guy in the very first video is an idiot. He's right in this video, but he has other ones that are pretty bad. Using an in-tree saw on the ground, not putting in a notch, etc. I would take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
