Trespassers (hunting on property)

Had an issue during Turkey season last spring. Put up additional signage where I knew they were entering. Nothing since.

That’s what I started dwelling on afterwards. I’m paying a ton a year to have the land back there. I could’ve foregone the land and had a nicer kitchen and bigger garage but I put a priority on the land and they want to use it for free?! Plus depending on what direction they’re shooting it could be quite dangerous.

I have my property sufficiently posted. Probably every 50’. Neighbor, not so much. I went back out and did see tracks where one of them did go on my property and there’s no way they didn’t see the signs. Next time I’m approaching phone in hand recording. I can’t believe the balls some people have.

Signs are cheap. You can likely get away with more signs including some alluding to the fact you have cell cameras up. Then they can expect that when they cross the property you're on your way to catch them in the act. Of course, you need not put a single camera up.

Signs are everywhere. That’s a good idea for ones that mention the cellular surveillance. I only have the typical posted ones.

the only problem i have with Signs is there put up when the weather is nice or once every 10 yrs and then hunting season comes and the

Name/Lease and phone # is so faded or washed off you can't read it .. to call them if needed .. like hey the deer i just shot just ran onto your

property ..

My family has about 450 acres, my father in law and his brother own it. 4 years ago I went with them and spent the day remarking all the boundary lines. Besides it being a good day of hiking, ball busting and laughter, we found 3 tree stands that were not ours. We proceeded to cut the straps and pull them down, we loaded them up on our ATVs and took them back to the compound. We left notes tied to the respective trees with florescent tape, put the notes in sandwich bags with a contact number so they could call if they felt as though they wanted to talk to the land owner of the land they were trespassing on to get their stand back. We went back this year and took all 3 notes down...

2 years ago I caught a guy from Westchester up in my lazy stand, so named because I can see from my kitchen window and is what I use when I only have an hr or so to be out. Anyway it was a ballzy but stupid move he won’t do it again
