It is interesting to see how Holosun has improved their product over the years. When I compare the two, I definitely don’t have any reservations any longer using the 507c on my carry guns. I own a couple of the RMR and a similar # of the Holosun and I personally can not justify the asking price of the RMR vs the 507c

I'm going to order at least two more H507c v2 sights. I've got a v1 on a Glock 19. Its great.

I want the 507k micro sight for a pocket/IWB single stack pistol.

An unintended consequence of this - lots of people thinking the law suit means Trijicon is validating the quality of Holsun products - if it was garbage, they wouldn't be suing.

Idk if thats a consequence.

Lot of big names are all moving over to holosun for their handguns and putting their stamp of approval on holosun being on par with Trijicon (handgun optics that is)

Half the people are saying "F China", half are saying Trijicon would rather sue than innovate.

I don't know nearly enough about patents to even understand what Trijicon is calling Holosun out for.. like TTAG says this could take years.

I know packaging guys that can stand Chinese QC.
You can tell them exactly how to make it and give exact size specifications and all the other minute details involved in QC and they can still fudge it.
Staying on top of their QC and supply issues is nearly a career in itself.

Trijicon has a number of patents so if they have other makers copying desing and features under their patents they are doing the right thing.
China has a long history of Intellectual Property and patent infrigment. Most times when they are pressured legally to cease and desist they either stop that brand and come out as a new one or they go back and change designs slightly to make it less obvious.
If 2nd quality components are made in shadow shifts using trijicons designs from same factories that might make trijicon parts then they will loose. This happpens all the time with many sectors and brands. ....honda, panasonic, apple....just to name a few.

Let's hope this doesn't negatively effect Holosun, they have great optics. I'll surely never be able to afford a Trijicon, but I won't hesitate to buy another Holosun.

I'm not a fan of China and their history of intellectual property theft but Trijicon optics are insanely overpriced for what they are. I'm sure Trijicon would gain more business if they were more competitive in pricing.

I'm all for US companies but when they try to break my bank I'm sorry (not sorry) but I'll go with what is cost effective for me.
