When I was still living back in WNY, I did some Ubering. I remember when the International Hockey tourney came to Buffalo, and tons of Canadians came over.

I had an opportunity to talk with a bunch of them, and sadly, all of them that I discussed firearms law differences between the US and Canada were completely against our laws. All of them had drunk the Koolaid that Trudeau and his fellow ilk have been spitting out for years.

Many told me how afraid they would be to be anywhere near someone carrying a concealed firearm who was not LE. And that made it all the more fun to remind them when they exited my Uber that they HAD been in just that situation, and that no one had died...

But sadly, Canadian gun rights are largely dead.

Not disagreeing with you at all. Most Canadians that live in the population centers are anti's. They don't want to be anywhere near a gun. Those that aren't anti's keep their mouth shut unless they know you're a shooter. When you get rural things change a bit, but even then, the anti's are everywhere.

Before this massive shutdown, there were several hunting & fishing stores ( not big box types, just small business types ) that I would deliver to up there. Most of the information I have about their laws is from talking to them. I learned to NOT speak of hunting or shooting at almost any other place though...the anti's get scared of you and call the company and say they don't want you back there !!

There are plenty of like minded folk in "America's hat" and they are under tyranical decree, much by the same assshole thinking we are in ny. Don't lump the people you would consider a "brother" in with the scum that run the cities , they deserve support.

I talked to an OPP officer at the snowmobile/ATV show in Fall 2019. I had some questions about riding SXS unregistered on their trails as NYistan will not allow ATVs >1000lbs to be registered. Him and his fellow officers were very polite and professional. As a fellow ATV enthusiast, we got talking about the sport and then eventually got on a tangent about firearms laws. He told me that when he is off-duty, his firearm is locked away in the barracks and he has NO legal right to carry outside of work EVEN AS A LEO. He even went on to say that if they are participating in any kind of LE event and he was NOT on duty, he could not carry either. EVEN IN A MARKED CRUISER. My jaw almost hit the floor. I told him in NY I carry just about everywhere. The bank, the store, my sister's wedding, everywhere... He seemed quite envious. Then he made a joke about how even if I got caught carrying, it'd only cost me like $8 US dollars. Cool guy I think some of the LE up there are also victims of tyranny.
