US forces got pushed all the way back to the 38th parallel as soon as they crossed the Yalu river in to China. I doubt they would have made it much further in to China to "clean" them up.

US troops were pushed south past the 38th, almost off the peninsula until MacArthur did and end around and landed troops behind china lines,cut their supplies and ran them bach to the river and wanted to invade china BUT the president said no and fired MacArther. China had no nukes and we would of kicked their @$$ . That's the thanks we got for stopping Japan from taking china over 10 years earlier.

What bigger war ? China had no airforce or navy to speak of...just a lot of soldiers, ground. No one except the US had long range bombers and nukes. Was a no match.
