Desantis has failed to pass constitutional carry for his state on several occasions. Why not Abbott ( Texas)?

That's on the Florida legislature. They have to get a bill to his desk before he can sign it.

DeSantis just said it is his goal to pass constitutional carry before he leaves office, so hopefully his stance will pressure the Florida legislature to act.

Forgot the exact issue but I remember recently seeing someone ask Abbott while they were together at some function if he would denounce something that we would agree should be denounced. He tip toed around it like a politician. I remember thinking to myself, "Fuck, this guy too?"

It's not really that our immigration law is the issue, it's our border enforcement and enforcement of existing immigration laws that is the problem.

Pray tell me you are playing the comedian on this one. Please do name some of his legislative accomplishments. Yeah, he got judges put up for votes, and stopped the communist garland - that was routine work.

Routine? Show me one other time a majority leader has prevented the installation of a well-qualified SCOTUS nominee for almost a year. That was an incredible victory that completely changed the direction the court was about to head.

What I'm hearing here in the various responses to my post is that people didn't like everything he did, or didn't, do. That's going to be a reality no matter who is in the spot. I think many here are ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater and will find themselves regretting that position in the future, if they succeed.
