I agree with some BUT the border is not what it is going years back. There's a shitload of people staged in Mexaco and 2 more caravans on the way. The caravan people already displayed they can be violent and will rush the border. The caravans change the game in my opinion and he will call the emergency.
Being called a "national emergency", this will not sit in the courts and will have the fast lane to the SCOTUS and Trump will prevail.

On the surface to some, he did assume some damage, but He's playing a chess game and I like His position.
IF he wins in the SCOTUS....the Dems will get so much damage they'll never recover.

I may get flamed for this but I don’t see what the problem is? I’m not a believer in the Trump 40 dimensional chess thing and this would be a standard chess move anyway. Who gives a crap what Nancy an Chuck claim.. their assholes. They have been insisting the gov be opened before they will negotiate. Well they got what they were screaming for and when they don’t play ball in 3 weeks we will be right back to where we were a day ago and they will be the ones loosing face.

I think in the end most reasonable people will see who is willing to work and who is full of shit.

I agree. The Dems think they rolled Trump, but this whole time with little gestures of compromise and large, Trump has shown the dems to be the bad guys here. I think Trump sees the value in laying this out for everyone to see and he can't do that by charging headstrong in with a declaration of a national emergency at the first turn. Like you say, he is letting the dems exhaust every option. He is pulling a rope a dope. I believe this is also helping to build the cast for the emergency declaration, by 1. showing the humanitarian crisis on the border and 2. showing how the dems have taken every opportunity to block reasonable efforts to protect the border. We'll see, but if I have learned anything about Trump by now, it's that these "set backs" happen and then Trump comes back hard with a counter punch.

I think he is just going to let it shut down again. He called their bluff and it’s a simple move really. The headlines are laughable.

Payroll is way more important than Democrat's tantrums.
They should have known this before they started.
If a former AG could sell guns to cartels the current government can get the wall built.
They just need to create the justification for doing just that.
We just had deployed military when the caravan came to the border. That is not the usual
solution or channel but we did it.

I really hope you're totally correct, because if it doesn't go down as you describe, Trump loses all credibility, and the nation is gone for sure.

The red, large font highlighted word, is the key. If some Hawaiian or 9th circuit pedophile in black declares "a national emergency" unconstitutional, THAT judge must be arrested as a traitor, and ignored (can we all spell "martial law"?).
