Wasn't the alleged payment from him personally and not tax payer money? So it's against the law to give someone hush money personally?

They're trying to claim it was from the campaign fund not his personal wallet and that it was illegal to spend campaign money for that.

Even if it was campaign funds, I'm not sure it would be illegal though. *Is* it illegal for a campaign to pay someone off to keep quiet about something that would hurt the campaign?

If they set that precedent, they should *all* be investigated for it, because I'm sure they're *all*guilty.
