I'm in favor of removing our troops but my sense is ISIS is not dead. As long as they are not a threat to us that's fine. It's impossible to bring any semblance of order in the mideast without being willing to kill a lot of people. That's just not us. Will the next big war be Iran vs. Saudi Arabia?

Stop giving them arms is a good start. US troops in Syria are illegal under international law . We don't belong there. We were not invited in . We are not defending The US . The US backed Kurdish rebels in the North have invaded and taken over large parts of Syria . They have attacked our Allies in Turkey and did nothing to stop it

This was Obamas war, Not Trumps. Take the Troops home and put them on the border .

Sorry, bub, can’t agree with you there. I’m firmly of the belief that we should withdraw all military presence from the region, except perhaps for bases in countries which have been longstanding allies. Let them burn in their own sandbox, shut our borders, and institute the death penalty for foreign nationals who commit capital crimes on our soil.

Terrorists and the mania surrounding them are by and large a demon of our own creation. We give this group and that group weapons and support, attempting to manufacture some outcome, then the backstabbing fuckers turn on us. Screw ‘em all.

Pretty simple on its face, But it gets complicated. After one week, or forty years, The day after US troops leave Syria, a power vacuum is formed in the region , The most likely country's to fill it are Russia or Iran . which could mean future bases in the region in the future . So we are stuck there for 100 years or pull out before were to deeply involved.

The return on investment in Syria is fucking terrible. Its cost billions of dollars and what did the American public get in return? Nothing. Did your life improve since we began bombing them? Are you making more money because of it? Of course not.

The best way to deal with middle eastern terrorists is to get out of their back yard. Stop hitting the beehive and using the excuse that because you were stung, your going to keep hitting it.
