So, it’s come to this. We have a federal judge who has enough integrity to look at the 2nd Amendment, even diluted by Bruen, and conclude that a law prohibiting the mere possession of a machine gun is unconstitutional on its face.

But the Trump administration is now asking for this decision to be reversed. That is, it is the position of the Trump administration that machine guns are not the kind of ‘arms’ that are protected by the 2nd Amendment.
And what is the reasoning behind this position? It’s that machine guns are not ‘in common use’.

As a lawful machine gun owner, they are indeed protected by the 2nd Amendment. Per the ATF, there are over 740,000 registered machine guns in common use (civilian and federal government). Just in the state of Ohio alone, over 21,000. I'd say this more than qualifies and strikes down any judgement claims in my opinion.

There are hundreds of thousands of them in use in the US.

Many police departments have them, even if you dont count the ones registered to private citizens, the LEO use alone is enough to make them "common".

I agree with the first part about 60%. There are some who know firearms, but the money decides right or wrong for them. All one needs is to look at our ruler. She was once part of the NRA and was endorsed by them, and now she puts the screws to gun owners every chance she gets. I bet if some progun person or company offered a few million to her campaign she'd do another about face.
