I think it's a genius move, and the truth is he now has more McDonald's experience than camela because her saying she worked there is a lie. Also it just goes to show what a machine this guy is because he keeps going non-stop rally after rally interview after interview he is like the Energizer Bunny. I get meeting people where they are but I don't think this is effective. Hypothetically, let's say Harris had done this and not Trump... would that make you vote for her? OK, she gave out hamburgers and fries. Who cares? That has zero impact on policy, who she will appoint to federal benches, etc. It's meaningless.
I think it's more that it doesn't matter. Nobody out there is saying, "you know, I really hate Trump's position on <taxes/abortion/pick an issue>, but now that he passed me a hamburger through a window he's my guy".

Many years ago before he became the President I was at a course he owned near me and in a conversation with the grounds keeper I learned Trump would buy the entire grounds crew lunch when he visited. I asked what did he bring in for them and he said McDonald's. I laughed and said it figures a billionaire would treat his employees like that. He said back to me that Trump loves McDonald's and that he sat there for the entire lunch and ate with them.
Then years later there on TV Trump signed some law at the White House that would help miners and steel workers. After signing, he turned to the workers asked if they like to see the Oval Office.
None of the fake lame ass Republican or Democrat presidents ever did that. Nor would they.
Trump isn't the usually Washington insider. That's why they hate him. He hasn't the disdain and contempt for the average working American these entitled political puppets have. I'm using kind words here to describe them

I think your right, but it was more of a slap in the face to Harris. Day by day, Harris becomes more and more disingenuous to people.
