Trump will never win another election. The biggest gift you could give to the DNC in 2024 is Trump at the top of the GOP ticket.

Trump is not a winner nationally. He can’t win because there are so many that hate him. You’ll never get a democrat to vote for him, nearly all independents won’t vote for him, and I suspect some republican’s will not vote for him either. He would get around 40-45% of the vote and win small conservative states.
I don't see DeSantis winning. Someone give me some alternatives.

I personally think in politics there are zero good candidates on either side of the political spectrum. DeSantis maybe the exception.
I would like to see some one like Mike Rowe run. I think he’s fair to all, smart, and won’t take shit.
I think Ted Cruz is maybe a viable candidate.
DeSantis is the most likely and I would be happy to vote for him. I think he’s smart, has good policies, is doing the right thing and doesn’t say stupid shit. He has gained a lot of political clout and publicity over the years. If we don’t stop the gay and trans progression it’s all over. They force this in the kids and the kids then bring it home to get mom and dad on their side.
My wife knows some one who’s kid is transitioning now and likely another very soon. The one won’t get their kids any vaccines yet will allow the to take male hormones at 14 years old?? People baffle me beyond my wildest dreams.

I like Lake but I think she could suffer in his shadow and she's already gotten a raw deal. She talks the talk, and if she walks the walk then I think someday she could make a good POTUS, but she would benefit with some political experience, she has none. Just not with Trump.
Anyone teamed with Trump has to be competent enough to hold the position and take over if needed but not so good that you don't mind losing them, because anyone teamed with Trump is doomed.

I'm a pro Trumper, liked his policies and the way he ran the country. And I believe he's the kind of guy we need in '24. Actually we 'd be way better off if he was pres now. But I doubt if he can win. Lindsey Graham has been on Fox talking Trump up big time, really big, yet Graham didn't seem to be very pro Trump in the past. I have no real facts or proof of any kind, but my gut tells me Graham is just another swamp rat and might want Trump to run, but loose. Graham is a snake... just my opinion.

I think that is the problem.
We have gotten too hung up and dependent on who the president is instead of who we are.
I think a reckoning is coming and we will soon learn who we are. It won't matter if we have the weakest or strongest POTUS.
The WWII generation would have persevered with or without Roosevelt or Truman, because that's who they were.

I think president Trump was a pleasant surprise, an unintended development that the deep state didn't take seriously. They have learned and adapted they won't make that oversight mistake again. They underestimated him and Americans citizens anger.
They have regrouped and taken what they feel are the appropriate measures.
IMO president Trump was just a speed bump to slow the process down. He stopped it for 4 years and essentially undid a few years of the transformation so he may be slowed the process 6-8 years but rest assured it's right back on track. The end result is inevitable at this point it's just not clear if it will be a slow or rapid collapse and descent into totalitarianism or not.
