Interesting choice, she was not a supporter during the campaign. Maybe Trump likes to keep his enemies close?

I don't know much about her, but she seems like she would be good and have the temperment for the job. Also I think it will appease the moderate side too.

Great choice politically. Does a number of things:
1) Shows that he isn't anti-immigrant, as she is the daughter of LEGAL immigrants.
2) Shows that he is willing to have other voices in his administration, even those who opposed him.
3) Helps promote one of his supporters, who was eventually going to run for governor of SC when Haley was done (as SC has term limits)
4) Shows that he is willing to have women in positions of power
5) As someone noted, keep your enemies closer
6) Reaches out to 'moderates'
For her, it gives her international experience which would help in an eventual presidential run. I also like the move as the R's show they have a great bench of talent.
