Why isn't Maxine Waters in federal custody? If you or me or anyone made these types of comments against a sitting President and his staff (or nearly anyone for that matter) we'd be brought up on terrorist charges. I didn't realize Members of Congress had that type of protected status.

I am a huge fan of this idea. Not only is it possible, it happens all of the time. Just prior to Trumps' Inauguration, more than 3500 people were sworn in as temporary Marshall's. There is no definite time limit on these swear-ins. The more the merrier.
Local Sheriffs can do this as well. Swear them in, give them a badge and they are legally allowed to carry a firearm anywhere in the US! Easy shit right there.

Great way for sheriffs to invalidate local gunlaws they disagree with. Would likely lead to removal but...
