I listened to Trumps speech. I loved it. He called out all the NY political thugs. Latecia James, Alvin Bragg, Chuck Shumer, Hillary Clinton etc. We live here and know how aweful the system is. Trump is now a victim of their overreach and political zeal. He called them out for what they are - communists. Regardless of what you think about Donald Trump there is no denying that Alvin Bragg and Latecia James are far worse.
The bigger picture is that Democrats have absolute immunity and commit as many crimes as they want without fear of Justice. Meanwhile they weaponsize the courts to hunt down and attack their political enemies. I hope Trump beats the cases. Becomes President again and gives them all a dose of their own medicine.

This case is using the judiciary branch for political purposes and it will not end well for this judge and the Dems. Once true legal scholars and higher courts get to this the case is going to be a disaster and example for the history books.
They will try to hide the proof of influences and favors but eventually it will come out. You not only have Trumps team but other very smart people who want to start seeing some truth and due process in this political whorehouse environment. Musk, Rogan, Asange, just to name a few.
This DA is going to feel what Putin is feeling only wo the safety of Moscow's bunker.

I am having the same experience with neighbors and sadly some relatives. During a conversation with neighbor yesterday ( in her late 70's ) she called trump "Satan". Said her vote for Biden was "not for Biden" but a vote "against Trump". Said she will do it again! Also stated that Trump is responsible for 5 deaths on Jan 6th. She feels sorry for Biden because "he is obviously senile". I asked her to tell me one thing that Trump did that hurt our Country. Surprise, NO answer. I told her that I hope she is happy with what her vote got. Also told her that if she has complaints about inflation, degradation of her retirement investments, prices going up on fuel etc that she should seriously consider not voting at all if she cannot see fit to vote for Trump should he be selected as the Republican candidate.

Trump Indictment Is More Pathetic Than We Could Have Dreamed

So weak are the charges, Bragg may be abandoned by other Democrats as they try to avoid the fallout from the political targeting of Trump.

"Rather, for 16 pages, the grand jury indictment merely regurgitated the same statutory buzzwords, alleging Trump violated §175.10 of the New York Penal Law: “in the County of New York and elsewhere,” Trump, “on or about” a specific date, “with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records.”

The template was then repeated in each count, specifying a different date or business record — sometimes an invoice from Michael Cohen, sometimes an entry in the general ledger of the Donald Trump Trust, and sometimes the issuance of a check. There were three or four criminal counts alleged against Trump for each payment made to Cohen from February through December of 2017, which together stacked up to 34 counts.

Along with the indictment, Bragg also released a 13-page “Statement of the Facts,” but the additional details failed to bolster the charges. On the contrary, the summary made it seem as if Trump’s alleged crime was participating in, what Bragg called, a “catch and kill scheme to suppress negative information.”

“From August 2015 to December 2017, the Defendant orchestrated a scheme with others to influence the 2016 presidential election by identifying and purchasing negative information about him to suppress its publication and benefit the Defendant’s electoral prospects,” the statement began. “In order to execute the unlawful scheme,” the summary continued, “the participants violated election laws and made and caused false entries in the business records of various entities in New York.”

But there is nothing unlawful about purchasing negative information to suppress its publication. Yet Bragg called that an “unlawful scheme.” And while the statement noted that the “other participants in the scheme admitted that the payoffs were unlawful,” Braggs did not say why the payments were illegal, or why it would be illegal for Trump to agree to the supposed “scheme.”

In fact, nowhere in either the Statement of the Facts nor the underlying indictment does Bragg identify the other crime Trump supposedly intended to commit. That omission is shocking because for Trump’s alleged falsifications of business records to qualify as felonies, as the indictment charged, the D.A. must prove Trump intended to commit (or conceal) another crime.

Also missing from the indictment is any explanation for why the charges against the former president are not barred by the governing five-year statute of limitations."

This is where I was going in one of my earlier posts in this thread. Its one thing for everyone to decry the case and the unfairness of it all, compare this situation over and against the royal treatment Hillary got after committing multiple felony crimes involving highly restricted classified information, taken out of a SCIF and otherwise, and then routed through her home brew server, and then the subsequent cover up. Or Hillary's own election violations in the Russia Russia Russia debacle. Or Xiden's gangster family criminal dealings. Or Obama's. Etc. The prosecutor in this case is clearly biased and over the top, the judge is a sleez ball. The case is weak. So on and so forth.

All of that is out in the open, but it really misses a few points.

First and foremost, there must be a recognition that these people are utterly ruthless. They will burn the country to the ground to get what they want and hold onto it: power. They don't care that we know they are lying, that we have proof that they lie about everything, that they are guilty of crimes and are traitors. They do this stuff right in our faces to rub it in, and in the backrooms away from the cameras they laugh at how buffaloed and cowed the American People are. What are we going to do about? After decades of trashing out nation with just about no real push back, these criminals expect that they will get away with their crimes. And why wouldn't they?

Secondly, its no coincidence at all that this judge is the same judge overseeing Steve Bannon's "Build the Wall" case. Nor is it a coincidence that this judge oversaw the case against Allen Weisselberg that led to the Trump Organization being found guilty of tax fraud.

Add in all the moves against Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, the prosecution, arrest, and/or harassment of other Team Trump people like Rudy Guilianni, Mike Lindell, Roger Stone, Manafort, and on and on (there are many more), and we ought to be seeing a YUGE pattern here.

Its a criminal conspiracy, one that is taking place with the full cooperation of the most powerful public officials, politicians, agencies, and personnel. One that almost certainly includes a fair number of powerful Republicucks right along with the usual Demscum. Its not all laid out nice and neat on day one. It unfolds as they respond to the situation.

This shit started before Trump got the Republican nod, 9+ years ago. I'm not saying every stage was pre-planned ahead of time, but they were certainly making serious moves against Trump even then. The intelligence agencies had already been turned loose on him while the Obamanation was still shining the chair behind the desk in the oval office with his ass. One hit, then a couple more, than stronger measures, than a few more hits, then more and harsher steps, and so on. Plan A didn't work, so its time for B and C, then other contingencies. The government has probably had contingency plans and options laid out for decades in case someone tried to muscle their way into power as Trump did. Think of it as a response to a hostile corporate takeover, but much worse in its potency.

Its not going to stop. The level of skullduggery here is amazing. No one politician and his political machine could bring this off. Foreign powers were involved in this (/cough UK). We can bet long odds that morons like Obama and Biden didn't put this together themselves. Hillary is ruthless, and earlier in her career she probably had better political instincts and smarts the Slick Willy. She has a long pedigree as a dirty trickster going way back to Watergate, which brought down another president. Not to mention the deep ties the Clinton's have to organized crime. Arkancide is not a joke.

Still, there is too much coordination, too many coincidences, too many of the levers of power keep getting pulled, all in the same direction.

Another interesting thing here is the number of people who get in bed with these megalomaniacs. In a few years, how many of them will commit suicide by shooting themselves 3 times in the back of the head? I wonder if Bragg even considers that as he looks in the mirror and asks himself that while he's taking his first morning piss.

This all looks like a vicious political dogfight, but that is the circus gift wrapped for the media red diaper babies.

Its really nothing more than a tyrannical government flexing its muscle and showing that it has gained enough power to openly lie with impunity, concoct outrageous cover stories and circumstance to give the thinnest veneer of "plausible deniability," and openly laugh at us and and mock us while we rage with our feeble, ineffectual responses to their ruthless takeover of our once free nation.
