My mom asked why they were doing this, and what would it mean.
I told her that, in the end, it won't mean anything since there is no crime. What they WILL do is keep him unable to run because of bogus charges until after 2024 so they can keep control. They don't care what happens after that since he may be too old to run again in 2028.
I think she's finally starting to open her eyes to the criminal and tyrannical behavior of the Democrats.

The case is beyond weak. My take is that this prosecution is really more about optics so the Demscum can howl at the moon for another 4 years that Trump is a criminal, despite the fact that everything they tried to make stick against him has fizzled. Russia, Russia, Russia, didn't do it. Ukraine impeachment attempt failed. Etc. This latest round of foolishness is Stormy Daniels 2.0, and my opinion is that its not going to change the political calculus at all.
If memory serves I don't believe they can stop him from running unless its a felony. This case doesn't have much to it, and I don't see it coming to much other than making sure the Demscum base stays enthralled for another few months until the next hoopla comes into play to keep the shitshow rolling.

All of it, likely. One thing our government seems to be quite good at is creating uprisings and unrest, be it in foreign locations or domestic.
