I'm curious, you genuinely sound like a liberal having a meltdown, who would you have liked to seen elected as president? Are you kidding? He's gonna kill US manufacturing and raise prices for every consumer in many areas. Gonna buy a car in the near future? Better do it now. Daily News cover got it right. He's a clueless clown that's gonna go down...
...
Except no, you can't.Sorry man but you can get out anytime you want to I am sure there is no glue on your feet. But hey don't take any of the benefits and extra $ per hour you are making because it is a union shop. I know unions suck but when the hell are people going to realize all pay scales are based off of a union wage? Go to China or Mexico where they are union free and see there pay scales. Shit I have been screwed more then I ever barged for from my union. But I am sure I would not have been making 90,000 a year driving a truck for a non union shop.
Except no, you can't.
I have to be in a union or I can't have the job. Period. They take the dues out of your paycheck whether you want to be part or not. You have no say in the matter.
Not sure if the union pay scale/ go to China/ Mexico thing is a joke, but of if not then you simply have no idea where pay scales come from. It's not from a completely worthless union though. The simplest way to demonstrate that is that there are different job titles of comparable work in the state that are non union and their pay and benefits are nearly identical.
The free market handles the non union jobs just fine, as always.
If I had the option to not be part of a union I would in a heartbeat.
Ok, so you don't understand how the unions here work. That explains the defending them. You have a different view. You do have a say you just like to continue to benefit from what the union has to offer you, other wise stand up like a Man and tell the union kiss your ass and go non union. You do have an option get out of the Union. But you chose not to because you want to benefit from that collective bargaining for your wage and benefits!
As far as wage being set by the unions I think you need to look back to the sweat shop days in the good old US of A my friend.
The free market low balls you much more then a collective bargaining system.
Your youth is prevalent in your views with a bit of ignorance to wages of work. Why are Union wages for large businesses ALWAYS higher PAY then non union shops equal, that are skilled craft businesses?
Point in case I worked for a non union Cement delivery company$12 per hour lot of OT. Same job union right down the road $28 per hour. Less overtime. How do you explain that? Just for the record it was a temp position after my Regular union Job laid me off for 3 months.
Ok, so you don't understand how the unions here work. That explains the defending them.
You can NOT be non union in my job. Period. You can NOT opt out. It's literally a condition of employment.
Couldn't be non-union in my job either so now I'm self employed. Pricks stole $1.00 per hour for years to give to my enemies, not to mention dues , working assessments and pass the hats for so & so's. FUUA where nepotism & libreturdism rules the day.Ok, so you don't understand how the unions here work. That explains the defending them.
You can NOT be non union in my job. Period. You can NOT opt out. It's literally a condition of employment.

I assume you don't favor the First Amendment
A double standard would be "the minimum wage laws purposed are absurd, you earn what you are worth" (I agree, I hate the idea of a minimum wage), but "join this union so companies are forced to pay you more, regardless of skills or performance."My friend I was in a union for 19 Years and got screwed from them. This I do understand that I could not be employed if I Choose NOT to benefit from the collective bargaining has to offer. All unions are like that. Either you are in or out. You have double standards. On that note good chat I am off to work in my own Business non Union shop!
Worse are those who have no clue yet preach as though they do know everything. Worse still are the people who blindly believe them.I think more people in this Country need to pull their heads out of their asses and actually pay some fucking attention to what is really happening in the US as well as the world!
I think more Americans should REALLY learn about tariffs, trade deficits and the like. Seems like there a many, many people that have no clue what they are talking about!
Ignorance is our worst enemy.
Yeah, but the 1st amendment still does allow for freedom of religion.Worse are those who have no clue yet preach as though they do know everything. Worse still are the people who blindly believe them.
I haven't seen any anti-union ads, but on Monday I'll be inquiring how I can put an end to the theft of almost$750 a year from my paycheck.
Wow. I never truly appreciated the depth of your comedic skills.Yeah, but the 1st amendment still does allow for freedom of religion.
The whole email. They're scared!
Wouldn't a worthwhile venture stand on it's own merits? The whole email. They're scared!
Sisters and Brothers,
We have seen a lot of activity online since the Janus decision, including digital advertising and a spike in Facebook friend requests to staff and members. We estimate that anti-union groups are spending between $10,000 to $15,000 per day on digital advertising.
While we continue to spread our messaging about the value of union membership, we cannot outspend them and need your help.
Please do the following to counter anti-union efforts to get our members to quit:
- Urge members and staff not to friend anyone they don’t know on Facebook, even if the request seems legitimate. The uptick in this activity may suggest that the other side is either using bots or actual members to inadvertently harvest private information from the membership in an attempt to get them to quit our union. While it’s possible these requests are legitimate, it is always good practice not to friend someone you don’t know.
- If you know people who have seen a spike in friend requests, please have them grab a screenshot of the requester's profile before they delete the request. Please then send the screenshots to Mathew.cantore@cseainc.org so that we and Facebook can track them down.
- Encourage members and staff to be on the lookout for sponsored content in their newsfeeds from unknown organizations claiming to give them information about their union membership.
We must all do what we can to protect our union.
Stay Union. Stay Strong!
Yeah, yeah, yeah... But in the meantime, don't interact with anyone new on the internets - just to make sure.Wouldn't a worthwhile venture stand on it's own merits?
Are there any left?Heh. Ask the union folks at Remington Arms.
That, sir, is the price of freedom.Love ALL of the Constitution. But you already knew that. You even understand the point being made.
Ignorant, stupid, uneducated and dangerous speech does nothing to better what we have.
So many have zero understanding of things, but continue to off at the mouth, trying desperately to sound educated on an issue.
In today's day and time, I have a hard time dealing with the stupidity of so many.
That has been my experience.Brother brother in the hall, on the job fuck 'em all
I wonder if the average blue collar labor democrat in the US mills, mines and factories realizes Trump's tariffs will make their union products more competitive in the US market? With a little luck this may break the democrat hold on that segment of the union vote.
It'll be SSDD for the government employee unions.
You are correct to point out that out screaming, cussing, yelling, etc only serves to strengthen the resolve of your opponents and weakens your own argument.Love ALL of the Constitution. But you already knew that. You even understand the point being made.
