I'm curious, you genuinely sound like a liberal having a meltdown, who would you have liked to seen elected as president?
You do realize that we are in a position called full employment now right? Americans have more money in their paychecks now, and we are moving in a strong direction. Trump is a strategist, and there is a reason why he's now imposing tariffs. The other countries have been milking us for generations and every previous president let it go, at our expense. Trump is taking our power back. If you don't want that, and you are a liberal globalist, then that is your prerogative.

I have to be in a union or I can't have the job. Period. They take the dues out of your paycheck whether you want to be part or not. You have no say in the matter.
Not sure if the union pay scale/ go to China/ Mexico thing is a joke, but of if not then you simply have no idea where pay scales come from. It's not from a completely worthless union though. The simplest way to demonstrate that is that there are different job titles of comparable work in the state that are non union and their pay and benefits are nearly identical.
The free market handles the non union jobs just fine, as always.
If I had the option to not be part of a union I would in a heartbeat.

You do have a say you just like to continue to benefit from what the union has to offer you, other wise stand up like a Man and tell the union kiss your ass and go non union. You do have an option get out of the Union. But you chose not to because you want to benefit from that collective bargaining for your wage and benefits!
As far as wage being set by the unions I think you need to look back to the sweat shop days in the good old US of A my friend.

Your youth is prevalent in your views with a bit of ignorance to wages of work. Why are Union wages for large businesses ALWAYS higher PAY then non union shops equal, that are skilled craft businesses?
Point in case I worked for a non union Cement delivery company$12 per hour lot of OT. Same job union right down the road $28 per hour. Less overtime. How do you explain that? Just for the record it was a temp position after my Regular union Job laid me off for 3 months.

You can NOT be non union in my job. Period. You can NOT opt out. It's literally a condition of employment.
My friend I was in a union for 19 Years and got screwed from them. This I do understand that I could not be employed if I Choose NOT to benefit from the collective bargaining has to offer. All unions are like that. Either you are in or out. You have double standards. On that note good chat I am off to work in my own Business non Union shop!

Couldn't be non-union in my job either so now I'm self employed. Pricks stole $1.00 per hour for years to give to my enemies, not to mention dues , working assessments and pass the hats for so & so's. FUUA where nepotism & libreturdism rules the day.
Back on topic our trade deficit is $507 BILLION, we fund the world, that shit is ending.
Trade deficits and tariffs are (obviously) different things. The USA being a huge consumer market and buying more from other countries than they buy from us is not necessarily a bad thing - shows our prosperity. However, our "trade partners" have never hesitated to protect their country by levying high tariffs on US products. The dems and rinos (globalists) have always been ok with this as it is effectively a wealth transfer from the US to the rest of the world vs. a free and open market for trade. Trump is calling them out on their BS and hitting them where it hurts - making their goods more expensive and therefore less attractive/competitive. Let's see how they react when their exports to the US drop off significantly and they start reducing/shutting down production.
There will almost certainly be unintended consequences here in the US that may increase prices but I believe that will be temporary. Whether you agree with his tactics or not, to accuse Trump of not having a clue is just flat out wrong.
BTW - I don't agree with everything he says or tweets and at times I think they're cringe-worthy but you can't argue the results. He speaks directly to the people and lets them decide.

Funny aside, but I just checked my salary grade with the union and compared it to some of my co workers that are in the same salary grade, but are not in a union, based on job title (which is how it works here), and yes, they make more. Not much, but about an extra grand a year. I figured as much, but I just looked it up. How is this possible? I was told without a union we'd have 8 day work weeks and would get paid as little as possible.
Oh wait, it doesn't work that way.
And it's especially awful because they are public sector, so you have no choice but to pay for their services. So advocating for the union I am forced to belong to is literally taking money out of your right hand to pay your left.
Teachers unions are another real gem too. The teachers know they can't be fired for poor performance, so why bother trying? And boy do they use that to their advantage.

So many have zero understanding of things, but continue to run off at the mouth, trying desperately to sound educated on an issue.
In today's day and time, I have a hard time dealing with the stupidity of so many.
A double standard would be "the minimum wage laws purposed are absurd, you earn what you are worth" (I agree, I hate the idea of a minimum wage), but "join this union so companies are forced to pay you more, regardless of skills or performance."
How you can believe one thing and not the other is just beyond me I'm afraid.

We have seen a lot of activity online since the Janus decision, including digital advertising and a spike in Facebook friend requests to staff and members. We estimate that anti-union groups are spending between $10,000 to $15,000 per day on digital advertising.
While we continue to spread our messaging about the value of union membership, we cannot outspend them and need your help.
Please do the following to counter anti-union efforts to get our members to quit:
- Urge members and staff not to friend anyone they don’t know on Facebook, even if the request seems legitimate. The uptick in this activity may suggest that the other side is either using bots or actual members to inadvertently harvest private information from the membership in an attempt to get them to quit our union. While it’s possible these requests are legitimate, it is always good practice not to friend someone you don’t know.
- If you know people who have seen a spike in friend requests, please have them grab a screenshot of the requester's profile before they delete the request. Please then send the screenshots to Mathew.cantore@cseainc.org so that we and Facebook can track them down.
- Encourage members and staff to be on the lookout for sponsored content in their newsfeeds from unknown organizations claiming to give them information about their union membership.
We must all do what we can to protect our union.
