Next up, I will be watching to see if the case Wilson v Hawaii gets granted Cert on Tuesday when the next SCOTUS Order List comes out. As I understand it, that case has the potential to outright throw out all handgun restrictions and permits nationwide.

US Marshall's would be the ones to take someone into custody for contempt of federal court I think.
Either that or SCOTUS does have a very small law enforcement group of it's own.

Only problem is that local enforcement will complain that they will have no way of verifying pistol permits, this will lead to the introduction of a national carry database. Is a national carry database worth national reciprocity to you? Will this result in the federalization of pistol permits just like they do for passports for ID? Will a national federal carry license override the local state pistol permit process? Is this a good or bad idea?

Database already exists and if it’s simply like a drivers license I would put up with my name being in a database that I have a pistol permit. It’s already done by people I fear more.

The way I look at it is the fact that NYS has us by the balls right now with the Ammo BGC. So even if they do allow some kind of Constitutional Carry, they could make it even more difficult to purchase (or step it up further) and make ammo. Maybe even do an ammo license/permit scheme.

I hope that the he does something about the $300.00/year handgun permit scam for those in NYC and Boroughs. People are struggling to pay rent, for food etc. Why should they have to pay their local police department to have access to a right? Many can't afford that $300/year. It cost less to register a car for several years than it does to have access to a constitutional right? It's a blatant obstruction.

Harry Reid famously threw out the filibuster rule for judicial appointments. McConnell then threw it out for Supreme Court appointments.
That's a valid question, one without a simple answer, and answers with multiple implications: The Second Amendment doesn't require a licenses or registration, however having all States subscribe to an accessible data base to show a valid Licenses or not, the same way Drivers Licenses are treated...I suppose that if the Law of the Land were reset to the simple, basic meaning of the Second, then it would be an all or nothing point, but as it stands now I'd be happy with another endorsement on my Drivers Licenses as indicates I can carry a weapon in any State with the Freedom and assurance of my own home State.
