Last night he earned my vote. He worked hard for it.

The choices are crystal clear.

I'm going to cast my vote for the narcissistic egomaniac with a history of womanizing and cheating on multiple wives. Why? Because I don't care about his personal life while he's standing up to foreign and domestic forces that are seeking to destroy our constitutional republic. Because he has proven that he supports law and order. Because he has shown more fealty to the U.S. Constitution than any other president in my lifetime. Because he has eliminated massive amounts of federal regulations that were enacted as de facto laws by unelected bureaucrats. Because he has tried to appoint Supreme Court justices that will not engage in judicial activism. Because he has made great strides in stemming the shift of our federal judiciary towards the progressive Left. Because he understands that the heavy hand of government does not belong in our economy or our lives. And...because he has governed in a more conservative fashion than I had predicted and for which I am now pleased.

No idea how old Phazer is. But I can say that I am old enough to remember President Eisenhower.
My feelings in regards to President Trump are pretty much summed up in what Phazer posted:

Also, he didn't get us into any new wars and got a Middle East peace treaty (if a Dem did that, they be screaming for a Nobel Peace Prize).

Ike appointed Earl Warren to the Chief Justice seat. That Commie did more to destroy this republic than any other single man.

Honestly, I'm still not sure that Trump read the complete U.S. Constitution prior to being inaugurated. That said, he is a steadfast supporter of first principles even if he's not exactly sure what they are. He clearly loves this country, loves our military, and believes in American exceptionalism.

Trump wasn't "my guy" in 2016. He certainly is now. He has positively surprised me and he is certainly the right man, in the right place, at the right time. I cannot think of another present-day Republican that would have stood up to the incessant personal barrage as well as Trump. He is a blunt instrument in support of the constitution. He is fairly ineloquent. He frequently tweets really inane, stupid, things. But, that makes him all the more "real" to the masses.

In the end, I hope that Trump's form of realistic conservatism inspires a whole new group to take the party back from the establishment bastards that have turned the Republican party in to the Democrat-lite party.

I would be curious to know this truth??? How many past Presidents have read, studied and actually understood the Constitution? Serious question.

I wonder how many Americans have even a slight grasp of the document.

I hear so often from all politicians that they support the US Constitution and then in the next breath say they want to pass a law of a regulation that is in complete violation of our Founding Documents.

In regards to the Constitution, I am very thankful to and for this forum. We have all discussed many times, different facts of it, I have found myself digging deeper and deeper into the soul and the original intents of the document because of these discussions.

Mr. Trump is no different than past leaders, I do not think he understands the majority of it. I think he wants to, I think he wants to do good by it. I truly believe all he wants is the best for my Country and for all of the people that are citizens. Nothing he does os for personal gain. None of it. His family has enough wealth for many lifetimes. He is not crooked, he is not buyable. He does what he does and he says what he says for the good of us. All of us.
