TSA discovers realistic replica firearm at Reno-Tahoe International Airport security checkpoint
RENO, Nev. - Officers with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) discovered a realistic replica of a firearm at the security checkpoint Thursday morning during routine screening of carry-on baggage.

Around 5:30 a.m., a male passenger came to the TSA security checkpoint with a carry-on bag. While screening the bag, a TSA officer recognized the image of a firearm on the X-ray screen.

TSA immediately notified the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Police Department, which responded to the security checkpoint. Upon further inspection, the X-ray image of the firearm was determined to be a 3D replica of a revolver.
