I don't follow your logic. I'm talking about an amendment that protects the people the same way it does from the government, but from other organizations (such as big tech) from abusive power and snuffing out free speech. As of now, you have no 1st amendment rights when it comes to private businesses.Creating an amendment that regulates speech isn’t the answer. That would be giving .gov the right to do what big tech is doing.
The answer (or part of it) is in breaking up these tech giants and media companies. Too much power in too few hands.
I prefer a world where the NYGUNS admins can bring the banhammer when the trolls come out, thank you.I don't follow your logic. I get that, but I wouldn't necessarily put trolling in the same place as opposing views. Trolling, to me, is not expressing an opinion or ideal. It's not point/counter point discussion. Trolling is on the level of bullying or intentionally trying to create an emotional response from others purely for the sake of doing so.I prefer a world where the NYGUNS admins can bring the banhammer when the trolls come out, thank you.
Right now the market, is silencing conservative views.Let the market work.
Right now the market, is silencing conservative views.
And when the market figures out how to monetize conservative views, it will balance out. Currently talk radio and Fox News are the only viable outlets (not totally at the mercy of progressive media and academia) with the exception of Trump "trumping" the media with his tweets, and the word is getting out. His approval flirts with 50% and his support from AA's has almost doubled to 29% the last I saw. This is with a 90% negative reporting, and suppression of social media by big tech.Right now the market, is silencing conservative views.
Facebook/twitter/etc would just classify any conservative leaning post as trolling. Either you allow it all, or you let each website decide for itself what is trolling.I get that, but I wouldn't necessarily put trolling in the same place as opposing views. It sure is... This is not the country that I grew up in.Scary times.
You can be for the first A or you can be against the first A. You cannot be both .a restriction on free speech is still a restriction.the result is no different if the government does it or if the corporations does it. The result, censorship, is the same.its like someone on death row arguing over who pulls the switch. Does it really matter?your just as dead or just as silenced.
Hillary Clinton lost because the internet exposed her to millions of people. You want to just give up that power? For what? So CNN Can have a monopoly on information ?
Don't let these sneaky cocksuckers trick you into thinking this is only a private ownership issue. Bullshit! This is far bigger than that. WTF do you think will happen to Trump next election? He won because of the internet! They laughed at him, and don't forget their faces election night. Their jaws hung open in disbelief, they couldn't wrap their heads around what happened.
The internet has the power to change elections. They see it now and they are going to put a stop to it.
People are just willing to hand over that power to corporations who only act on thier own behalf and are not accountable to anyone! Really!
This isn't about Alex Jones, this isn't about corporate rights or ownership rights. This all about political power. Shutting you the fuck up. In the name of liberty of all things. Corporate liberty.
Government can't shut you up, so they get their lackys to do it for them.
And this is just the beginning people. These are the tools of tyranny, does it really matter who shuts you up?
Misplaced political power a power that answers to no one. Fuck that.
If government was going it's job it would have stepped in, to protect the public good do you see that anywhere? Anywhere?
When tyranny comes it will be wrapped in a flag
Your looking right at it
This basically my point entirely and why I feel the constitution should protect against private companies seeking to curb peoples' civil rights.I am 100% in favor of all our Constitution. The Bill of Rights offer protection against the over reach of the government. Not private companies.

No one and no company should be able to deny you any of your rights. Period. In any case I'm not talking about a small business refusing to bake a cake or being able to refuse anyone you don't want to do business with. I agree with you there. Being serviced by a vendor or business is not a right guaranteed in the Constitution, being able to speak out is.I disagree wholeheartedly with that. I do NOT want, not do I need these kinds of protections.
If I own a business, I want to be able to run it how I see fit. If I want to exclude certain types of people, I should be able to.
And so with that goes the idea of an open society and the free flow of information and ideas. If things were more the way they used to be, before this political divisive madness fueled by the very outlets we are supposed to trust in, there wouldn't be sudden and disturbing rush to censor people. This direction we are headed in, leads to separate groups of only like minded people which is bad.Facebook/twitter/etc would just classify any conservative leaning post as trolling.
