If I were in Musk’s position, having just bought twitter, I’d strip mine their tech for anything useful that could be sold off, fire absolutely everyone on the payroll, and shutter that dumpster fire for good.

For what reason? Just because I could, which I expect is an underlying reason to why he bought the damn thing in the first place.

I imagine Musk is a little bit like me. I mean if I was Musk and my HR director comes swooshing in the door and says he wants to review the latest and greatest wokeness policy that any company that does business with the government must adapt, I would roll my eyes, grit my teeth and say "Sure, have a seat".
