Anyone else find it peculiar they can identify suspicious transaction, alert other agencies, track down and identify specific location of vehicle travelling from gun show in another state within hours but can't find any evidence of election fraud... hmm...

I wonder. It would be hard to imagine how they can pick out the New Yorkers in a massive show like that, unless they spotted the plate and followed them into the show from their car. More likely this was a targeted investigation of these two guys as that appears to be resale weight parts in the photo.

Personally wouldn't purchase standard capacity mag out of state and bring it back to NYistan, don't feel it was a public threat and a complete waste of taxpayer funded resources but so be it. They allegedly did it and were caught make your choice and deal with consequences just don't harm others in process. Really a non event in my opinion. What pisses me off is apparent wasted intrastate resources pursuing this when there are clearly more pressing issues that need to be dealt with.

Agreed this sort of shit should be deprioritized. Should be focusing on all the kids that get brought across state lines in kidnappings, rather than a piece of plastic and some springs that never hurt anyone.
People have their priorities backwards.
No doubt. Not minimizing urgency but seems to me there are yet more critical matters to direct limited resources to. That or it all falls apart very soon.

If they were really doing this as a business they should have rented a storage unit in PA, dropped the stuff from the gun show off there and then picked it up on another trip.

Tip off is in the story. " where the firearm parts were known to be. " Someone saw them placed in the car. Could have also been targeted of course, but they followed up on that with a tail then.
That's why I bought my standard capacity mags in Vermont, at a small show. I also made sure I wasn't followed in or out, and I looked for people checking out cars in the parking lot. Call me paranoid, but I don't like to take chances with stupid shit like that happening.
Ohhh, then there was the time I bought more at a gun show in Florida when I drove down to visit my parents, but I wasn't worried about NYS Goons there. lol
