Two Questions Regarding Westchester Amendments

Hey Guys,
Before I call the PLU, I thought I'd ask the community for information first. Besides, the office has closed for the weekend!

1. I am going to finally purchase a second pistol. Pretty exciting! After I pay for the firearm, do I just simply fill the https://www.westchesterclerk.com/images/stories/pdf/Pistol/PistolLicenseAmendment.pdf with the serial number, get it notarized and walk/mail it in?

2. If I were to go for a change in my restriction from Target to whatever, do I fill out the same form linked above with a letter or do I print out the attachment form located here: Pistol License Unit

I'm not going for a restriction change for a while yet but it bothers me that I'm still fuzzy on the details. Thanks in advance folks and have a great weekend!

Emkay44, not rocket science.
1.) Fill out amendment you referenced and attach the bill of sale for the handgun you purchased.
If you can walk it in, beats the USPS.
If you are approved in 2 to 6 weeks you will get a coupon that you take
to the gun store and give to him for your previously purchased handgun.
2.) Fill out the attachment "Generic" and write in "Sportsperson".
If you can walk it in, beats the USPS.
If you are approved in 4 to 8 weeks you will get a new license with the new restriction.
The Westchester Pistol License Bureau is pretty much caught up so the times should be at the shorter end of the spectrum.

Thanks @TopShot. I appreciate the simple breakdown. As for #2 however, is the attachment in addition to the amendment form? Sorry if this is a question that is asked to death but I'm the type of person who needs to be 100% sure before doing something.

I did read that last night but I was just confused since page 30 didn't mention the attachment specifically but referred to it as "and any additional forms, attachments or documents as deemed appropriate..."

Spoke with a nice lady from the PLU last week regarding that since there seems to be a lot of confusion. That's confusion caused by unapproved actions by powers that be within the unit that is. The restriction still exists. You just have to use the "generic attachment" and type/write "Sportsperson" next to the "Attachment:" field. Whether they allow that restriction to be issued is another story. I'm still green and will not be submitting a request for restriction amendment. I want to learn the proper attitudes required for carry AND be proficient enough that people won't be able to tell the difference between my skills and those of who have been carrying for a number of years. I'm playing the long game here

PS - The above typed may be null and void if something happened within the PLU in the last few days that caused the Sportsperson restriction to be officially tossed out.

You forgot to mention the street waiting period is null/void, along with declaring necessity, or exhibition of home safe storage, and magazine capacities and that funny little thing that protects hearing was easy peasy for Toby...
