Where is this thought train going to ?? I have only seen Trump supporters being attacked by far left and antifa. This is the narrow thought belief the left would want the world to believe. I'm a solid Trump supporter who hasn't "oppressed" anyone..especially children. And I haven't seen "oppression" by any supporters.

The correct course of action for a 6yr old never involves law enforcement.

The correct course of action is for the principal to paddle her ass.

If you run an elementary school, and you think you need to call the cops to handle your kids, you are not competent to do the job and the school board needs to find someone who is.

Now, I realize that principals can't paddle a kids ass anymore, and that insanity leads directly to this insanity (and worse).

Still, if you're the police dispatcher and someone calls for you to arrest a 6yr old, the correct answer is "6yr olds aren't capable of mens rea, they cannot commit a crime. Call someone else, this isn't our job. If the little witch is really acting like an animal try the dog catcher"

You are right about society. We have taken the appropriate tools away from parents and educators.

However, that doesn't mean the police and justice system have the tools to deal with a 6yr old either.

I really do think the cops are no more appropriate than the dog catcher for dealing with an out of control child that young.

Just because we have taken the tools from everyone else doesn't mean cops are the answer.

I really do think a lot of the LE problems we have today stem from you guys not saying "not my job" enough.

You have become the dumping ground for every emergency there isn't another specific service to handle, and that's wrong.

If there isn't an actual allegation of a prosecutable crime, you guys should just say "call someone else".

If you teach and control your children then all's the school needs to do is to teach. I NEVER came home and voluntarily told My parents I was a disturbance in school. It would embarrass My Parents and earn Me a @$$ whipping.

when i was in school .. some of the teachers would grab the short hairs on the back of your neck and stand you up if not following directions .. and scold you .. another teacher would hit you with a chalk eraser .. after he loaded it up with more chalk .. for not paying attention ..

hell no not telling parents i got the hair pull or eraser when i got home ..

Problem is that educators these days arent allowed to lay a hand on kids. So they're forced to pass the buck, so to speak. The power needs to return to the schools to take appropriate disciplinary action so they dont have to waste LEs time.

LE can't do what needs to happen either.

Our whole justice system moves far too slowly.

A 6yr old kid needs immediate correction. They need their ass paddled immediately after they are caught. A punishment that takes months to kick in is useless, and a ride in a cop car is not punishment.

That degree of delayed punishment only works for mature rational adults. i.e. white collar or organized criminals.

The kinds of people who commit most crime just don't make the connection when there is that much lag.

They know that what they're doing could land them in jail in 6 months, but it just doesn't sink in. So the deterrent just doesn't work.
