At around 8:12 in the morning, police said a 66-year-old man was handling a gun while sitting on his bed and the weapon went off, striking him in the upper thigh.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

There were no criminal charges in that incident; the gun was legally possessed by the man.
