DONE Type 38 carbine

*updated* i want to hang on to this rifle but i dont have the time or spare money for it so. This is a no series type 38 cavalry carbine made by Koishikawa, in tokyo, its in pretty good shape, decent wear/aging on the finish (to be expected from such an old rifle) the barrel is in great shape, the grooves are very sharp. theirs a small chip on the stock just above the hand grooves and a few dings here and their, pretty typical. stock appears to be original. everything matches except the bolt (bolt does not match itself either) mum is struck but clearly visible. comes with never used reloading set and 90ish 100 grain bullets. i would like 400 shipped

Beautiful, I heard they were horrible rifles though, is that true?

different forum, and they are actually very good rifles, only the last ditch ones are not that good. the myth that they are horrible probably comes from someone who picked up a training rifle and fired live ammunition through it. i believe a US army report post war had tested several bolt rifles used during the war and found that the arisaka had one of the strongest actions among the major powers

I love my type 99! They're good guns. I also have 50 or so 6.5 jap rounds that need a gun. Import markings on it?

their were no import marks but i just sent it out today, sorry
