Type 56 chest rig, thoughts?

Fixing to do some airsoft with @Celt in the near future, and I'm looking at chest rigs. Since I have an AK pattern rifle, I'm looking for something that would work for both the airsofting and as a good backup harness to my current rifle. Interesting take on a good cheap carrier and some simple mods to make it better. Any thoughts? Seems to do the job.

The type 56 is the old chicom rig. Canvas. You can wax it if need be to make it essentially indestructible. It's not flashy, but it's not overly complicated. It holds makes. It has space. Everything is easily reachable. Simple and effective.

As long as it meets your requirements that's all that matters.

I do remember watching a video about those years ago now that you said chicom. Scratch that, I found the video i was thinking of and I believe he says type 63.
