U of R thinking about arming security

The University of Rochester is thinking about arming it's security officers at the college and medical center, or some of them at least. I've got a good friend that works at the hospital. How about we just let people do their own thing and let them decide if they want to defend themselves?

In 87 I lived in the UofR neighborhood when i went to RIT. Annually I travel thru the old neighborhood and it's really gone down the tubes. Thank you RaChaCha.

I just watched this on tv. Had a interview with male student that said "he is verryyyyyy nervous" about this.
Don't break the law and you will have nothing to be nervous about.

I'm honestly surprised they don't. An unarmed security guard isn't very securing.

I always hate that line of thinking. What are you so nervous about? They're not hiring a team of killers, they're allowing security to actually secure a place. Weird, imagine that.

Still, let people cc at work and it'd be less of an issue. That just blows people's brains though.

It's that whole "no guns on college campus" thing.
