Perfect. But when a STI is actually better than a glock it is a better option
Let's just see those objective criteria and results please.

How many AR’s don’t have carry handles? How many 1911’s now have firing block safeties? How many 1911’s are double stack? How many 1911’s are chambered in 9mm or 10mm? How many 1911’s have ambidextrous controls? How many 1911s can you take the frame off of and add a new frame?
And that’s an abuse too.Again be mad at the price, but just remember they were probably paying that same price already with their previous gun and only got an 8 shot .45acp 1911, atleast now they are getting 21 rounds of 9mm and the ability to add an optic

About 400 dollars wrong. I’m sure they would get them for that or less.Ummm.... what's wrong with $600 Glock 17s?
Form what I can find yes. Same as fbi hostage guys.Wait is that what they used

A), you know that's not true and B) we aren't talking competition shooting.

I'll take a few hundred of those please!
Exactly what calling this a 1911 or not calling it a 1911 has to do with anything. Nothing. Moot point. Who cares what it’s called. They call it a 2011 when Para made a double stack in 90’s.What do "ars" have to do with anythin?

That isn’t the argument here. The argument here is you justifying an expensive purchase with tax dollars while other organizations around the world do the same job in greater harms way with sidearms that don’t have custom logos and phat paint jobs on them that run. Even the ones that do use 1911’s or 2011’s or 1990’s (whatever you want to call them) somehow perform their duties and accomplish their missions with their rarely used secondary sidearms.
Or slapped on the wrist for having such an expensive firearm to begin with and mandated to piggyback on another federal agency’s sidearm as needed when their previous expensive firearms wore out or more needed to be purchased for new officers.Guess they should have just stuck with their previous 4,000 1911
Yea. Better. It goes bang reliably and holds more rounds with a light trigger. That can’t be done with a lower cost firearm.Yall enjoy I'm bowing out.
Not going to try and argue with someone that cant tell that somethings are better than other things and better things cost more.
Everything is the same as everything and these guys just paid for a logo and cerakote
Why would they use Glocks? That would be ridiculous. Those are some weird looking glocks
They aren’t as good as these guys though. Seals don’t face elite drug dealer operatives that shoot their gats sideways for maximum effect. You need paint and emblems to take down criminals. They are elite super operators. All the true warriors use 1911 based guns. The seals use.... wait a minute! (I know some seals use what they want but they are issued glocks).
AB. Except, this is a custom race gun. Not a service weapon. You don’t see Seal Team 6 transporting Saddam Hussein with custom painted guns by Jesse James.
Different argument.I’d be more upset by the countless millions spent on proven to be pointless community appeasement bullshit.
Those are some weird looking glocks
Agreed it likely that changing from the 1911 platform to another platform would likely cost more money thAn just buying these guns.Ok trained officers, the article stated all these guys are extremely proficient with SAO
