You cannot have declining wages and massive inflation and expect the middle-class to survive. Additionally, when I said six weeks ago that we had just passed peak home value, this is another data point to bolster that prediction. We are in a plateau period on macro-level real home values, from this point they start dropping. You cannot have near double digit drops in real income and simultaneously expect people to afford high mortgages. It just doesn’t happen.

In fact, equal results can only be brought about by very unequal treatment and totalitarian policies.

The other side of "equity" is that it is completely incompatible with freedom.

Sorry most of what I said had a heavy dose of sarcasm. We pretty agree 100%, well at least based on your post above.
I agree this is the plan. Raise up lower wage workers so our money is worth less and people like you and I won’t get a raise.
Most people will end up in the $60,000-$90,000 range and with government benefits or handouts those below will be at that range or above.
Take migrant H2A workers. They get $15/hour but they pay for nothing but food. The employer pays for the visa, trip to and from hone, supplies housing, transport to and from work, grocery store, and medical treatment. Remember they do not pay federal taxes if they so choose.
They essentially have $550 free spending money weekly. That’s a hell of a lot more than I get. Plus many get piece rate pay or overtime. Most work 55 hours per week.
