Since Hochul banned the sale of puppies and kittens, it looks like those guns would be eligible for adoption to a loving home that would care for them, exercise them often, and feed them regularly.

I see the Syracuse show is on the calendar - I thought it might be no more?

The Arms Collectors Association (Sandy Ackerman) disbanded and a New Organization was formed and Marc Loveland is running it.
The Albany Show which is normally this weekend is no more unless and until they can find another venue. (Was at the Empire Plaza).
I'm really surprised the State given its anti-gun edicts and attitudes allowed the Show at the Fairgrounds and Capitol Building...
With the changes in the NICS system I'm not sure it's worth doing anymore Shows in NY especially given the "Delayed" status damn near everyone gets, we also believe the Third-Party Company out in Texas shuts down for Lunches, Breaks, and after 9~5 hours* as every check that I've been told about made during evening hours goes to "DELAY" and doesn't resolve until the next day or later...that's BULLSHIT!

* Keep in Mind that Texas is Central Time an hour behind Eastern.

I just went to a gun show in Orlando FL, and they were selling suppressed full auto guns with no background check for only a few hundred dollars.

They were BB guns, but at up to 1000 fps, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end.

Dealer Packets for the Syracuse (State Fairgrounds) Show in April just went out this week; under a new name for the same Circus.
Last Show at the Dome was a couple two or three years ago, and it was so piss-poor that Dealers were packing up and leaving SATURDAY after Lunch.
The Syracuse Show is likely the largest gunshow in the State, certainly above NYC/LI...Spring Show in April is typically very busy, but given the dissent, derision, and distain for NY's Post Bruen Laws, it was a shit-show, and I've no idea how this one is going to go; I do know there are a lot of Dealers that have decided the squeeze in NY ain't worth the juice and have packed it in. which cuts down on competition, and makes finding someone to Transfer that deal you got off the internet...Personally and from conversations with others, we think the 3rd Party Contractors in Texas processing BGC's for the State have Bankers hours as after certain times everything seems to automatically go "on delay" only to be processed a day or two later...I have zero intentions of ever completing a 4473 in NY ever again....fuck 'em, I have more than I can shoot in my remaining lifetime.

We'll be there with our usual Tables Row N and O 37~39
It'll either be a smash or shit-show...There are a LOT of Dealers that have turned their FFL's in, and more that do out of State Internet Sales only: I personally know two that WILL NOT process a 4473 for you, no "in person" or Premises Sales period.
With Sandy Ackerman retiring and the NECA dissolving (reformed as New York State Sportsmen Association) I suspect there will be those using this as excuse to drop out, and if any of you ever dealt with Sandy as a vendor, you know she was on the phone doing everything she could to fill the Tables, even giving adjacent vendors extra tables if they'd just cover them.

Yeah I’m not holding my breath on this one. My FFL ( Spur Shooters supplies) isn’t going to be a there after more than 20 + years. I have a sinking feeling that this is the end of an era.
