Update on my "questionable" handgun purchase (Canik TP9 SFX)

Ok so it's here finally. The LGS ordered a Rival originally but got the wrong one. So after researching instead of guessing what I wanted I ended up with the SFT Mete. The Rival is more of a competition/race gun and I wanted a defense gun. The Mete has white dot sights (vs fiber optic and adjustable rear), a shorter barrel, 18 and 20 round mags, magwell funnel, 2nd backstrap, a couple of optic plates, a mini toolkit shaped like a canik, kydex holster, and this version comes with a mini red dot made by Canik. The street price on the gun and red dot is $599.
The mags are MecGar and the bodies are Beretta 92 with different mag catch cutouts. Seeing that I already have a 92A1 and an LTT 92, mods could be made to use the 8 mags I have for those. But it gets better . . . A factory promo that runs out tomorrow gets me 3 Canik 18 round mags for free!
So a gun, red dot, and 5 mags for $600! This has to be one of the best deals for budget guns that I've seen.
The trigger pull and short reset is on par with the Walther's I've shot - best in class and way better than the Glocks, XDs, Sig 320, and a couple of other contenders.

A little more on the Canik METE SFT . . . got out the next day to shoot. A quick lube and a full mag dump just to warm it up, no target. 2nd mag first shot at target, iron sights - dead nuts on! Love this trigger! Best of any striker fired guns I've shot, with possibly a Walther Q5 Match. Just wow! Ok, mounted the Mecanik 01 red dot (with blue Loc Tite this time) and took 5 shots - low and left one inch each. About a two inch group at 10 yards. Jeez! A little adjustment and five more. Groups opened a bit but all good. Kept shooting and little by little the groups opened further. Checked mounting screws, all tight . . . started back to co-witness irons and got better. Hmmm . . . to be continued.
Now the gun is awesome, cerekoted, loaded chamber indicator, nice texture on the grips, co-witness sights, 18 and 20 round mags MecGar, outstanding trigger and nice short reset, ambi slide release, and reversible mag button, built in mag funnel, and wide mouth add on. A ton of stuff for less.
The MeCanik 01 red dot, well, it's only OK. Shake awake and auto adjust, but no MOA clicks and a bottom mounted battery are negatives. Hey it added about $150 to the gun price so for a range red dot it's alright. More soon . . .
