NYGF Update to Classifieds sections - Thread prefix 'FREE'

I've noticed recently that people have offered things for free to other users in the classifieds. That is the correct section certainly, but since users must choose a prefix/icon in a started classified thread (either F/S / WTT /WTB) then those generous folks have had to use F/S generally and explain it's free in the title and/or post. I'm not sure why we didn't think of it earlier, but it occurred to me that it would make sense to just add a prefix/icon specifically for free items.

So, I give to you the FREE prefix , now available for use in the Classifieds 'Miscellaneous' and 'Firearms' sections (Probably unlikely anyone will be giving away a firearm, but what the hell, right ?)

As always, once your item is gone please edit your threads to only change the prefix/icon to SOLD, but do not erase the title or content (as per the classifieds rules).

Too many options is quite cumbersome. Even adding the FREE feels like pushing it with the size of the buttons and list. It wasn't even especially needed. It's not like FREE in the title was confusing or anything before. I just kind of thought it was a nice option to better display someone being generous I guess.

We might change SOLD to DONE though, as it is perhaps more fitting for all situations. Actually I think that may have been suggested as some point before.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that not only has it been suggested to us before, but we've almost certainly mentioned it at the table at some point. I can't recall or figure any particular reason we would have decided against it. It's probably something we said, "Sure, that's a perfectly reasonable idea", and just forgot about..maybe repeatedly. It happens sometimes. I intend to bring it up later to see if the other fellows can think of a reason not to change it.

How about changing the "Sold" thread prefix to "Done" or something similar? This way, it can be used to signal that a WTT or a WTB transaction has been completed as well.

Doesn't "GONE" make more sense? Whether it was free or sold, either say, it's GONE!
