In all seriousness, this thread has put to rest my concern over all of this. Furthermore, as this will be my daughters' second year hunting, she will also be told not to be concerned with it. I doubt very highly that this will ever be a issue for either of us, ever.

This right here. Adjust your (elevation) hold exactly as you would if you were standing on the same level as the target.
This makes sense if you think about this - fire a rifle at a target 100 yards out on level ground, lets say the bullet drops 2 inches, so you sight in 2 inches high.
Fire that same bullet exactly straight up in the air - where the bore of that rifle points to is where the bullet will impact.
Gravity still pulls the bullet down to the earth, but when the bullet is headed straight up, down to the earth means "backwards". The bullets doesn't "drop" so to speak, it just slows down.

For example if you have a zero at 200 yards with lets say a 155gr amax 308 winchester and you shoot at a 60 degree angle
your zero will automatically move to 400 yards. This means a target at 400 yards with that angle you can put your crosshairs
right on the target and hit it w/o any adjustment for drop. The wind still applies. There will be a slight variant of 1/2 inch
or so when shooting up hill (higher) vs. up hill (lower) due to the speed differential added by gravity but practically it is
so small that, at these distances, it has no effect for any practical purposes.
Why?
The distance of the base with a 60 degree angle is the 1/2 of the hypotenuse.
So if you shoot something at 400 yards it is like shooting a target w/o angle at 200 yards that it happens to be your original zero in this example.
Still the wind and wind angle will affect for the full 400 yards give and take when shooting down or uphill.
