Sometimes the leaks are intentional to let an enemy know or think they are contemplating it. without ever having to say it openly. A veiled threat.

If it was officially approved through proper channels for that reason, then obviously it would be OK, and nobody would investigate (unless that was just for show too).

But, somehow I don't think that's what this was.

The Smithsonian should fly the Enola Gay to an air show in Hiroshima.
