Well saidHaven't yet come to a point where I think this was a good or a bad thing.
No one really knows whether there was weapons-grade uranium available or not - I think it's instructive to remember the Gulf of Tonkin "incident" and "Iraq has WMDs". Both were purposeful, complete and utter bullshit.
And Americans died...for fucking nothing.
And the agencies that might know that - CIA, British Intelligence, Mossad, etc. - aren't known for their verbosity or ever telling the truth when they do say something.
Presently, I don't like that all of a sudden, Neo-Con shitweasels like Lindsey Graham, Adam Kinzinger, Mike Pence, and probably John Bolton, are patting Trump on the back.
There's no way in fucking hell I'll ever get completely behind this because of that - I hate fucking warmongering Neo-Cons...they're the NSDAP of the present day fUSA.
I guess it's now just that "YMMV" and wait to see what, if anything, comes of this.
I'm not sure when our last OFFICIAL war was.Legal Definition:
defines an "act of war" as any action occurring during declared war, armed conflict between nations, or armed conflict between military forces
Us bombing another country does not mean an armed conflict. If they never fight back, no conflict....
No sweat.Who did you bomb to make that happen? Which one of you is Israel?
I look at the data that has been pushed for over a decade. Its all bullshit.Haven't yet come to a point where I think this was a good or a bad thing.

Well said
[Just sort of free-forming this. It's on my mind.]
Speaking of shit we, as a country, should have avoided...
Just finishing Blackhawk Down again. I left Kenya for the last time as it was happening.
The command staff who didn't have "boots on the ground", especially Garrison and Harrell, should have been fucking court-martialed for that shitshow. Should have resigned their commissions instead of following Clinton's fucked up policies.
One of the first things you learned when you were finally "in country" was to never fuck with Somalis. Going to NE Kenya wasn't particularly safe in my whole 10 years (1983-1993) there. But if you were in the Mountain Club of Kenya and/or a serious bush basher (I was both) you got near to, or past, Garissa, or to the east of the main, north/south Isiolo-Marsabit road in the NFD (Northern Frontier District) you would come in contact with Somalis, or other nomadic herdsmen. NE Kenya was original a part of Somaliland, and the colonialist Brits, French, Italians and Germans just carved shit up, ignoring all actual tribal borders. This caused no end of tribal conflicts and hatred.
I loved that area - high altitude desert.
When I arrived you couldn't go North of Isiolo without joining an army convoy. Never got there by my lonesome until Aug/Sep 1984. Evidence of lots of poaching...almost all poachers were Somalis. Look up "The Shifta Wars" - Somali bandits are still called "Shifta", which can be translated from Swahili as bandit or outlaw, or one who defies authority.
All you have to see is one elephant or rhino butchered for ivory or horn, probably while still alive, although shot numerous times with an AK, and you know the barbarity of Somalis.
Another "war" we never should have gotten involved in. And, yes, Somalia is still a fucked up mess.
Rant Mode - OFF
All good points. The Israelis took real risks to start the bombing campaign. Presumably they would not have done it if they weren't convinced the Iranians were much closer to making good on their threats.Haven't yet come to a point where I think this was a good or a bad thing.

WWII.I'm not sure when our last OFFICIAL war was.
We usually weasel out of that.
Lots of "Police Actions" and covert activities.
I'm not overly impressed with what I see. Just see holes where the bomb entered the ground. I would think if a large explosion occurred in one of the holes there we would see some evidence of such a blast, like the ground collapsed and the holes made much larger.Meh.Before and after pics of Fordow
