I’m not sure this is a wise idea. There are a lot of good people there that hate this regime more than anyone in the USA. When is the last time we have heard of an Iranian-American committing an act of terror. This won’t sit well with normal people.

It worked pretty well when we ended the Japanese and German civilizations at the end of WWII. They managed to build much better ones to replace it.
We don't just want to end the regime in power in Iran. We want to destroy the civilization it built. Take Iran back to the prosperous western civilization they had in the 70s.

I got news for them, those people are outside the controlled area and are not protecting any vulnerable equipment. Completely leveling the facility or just taking out some of the key components will have the same impact and almost the same service availibilty downtime.
Piece of cake with one or two precision shots to put that plant in a 5 year outage (the global lead time for the replacement equipment since there ain't no spares) without killing those political theater actors.
This show is a PR stunt for liberal media. The sidewalks outside the facility is not the critical equipment.

One incident doesn't mean every following incident will be the same. So the "they said Saddam" argument doesn't hold water in this instance, to me anyway.
Maybe after some time, they/Intel figured out that wasn't actually the case.
