They should reply with the zip codes and only the zip codes of where their products were shipped too. Apparently they do this periodically to get an idea for commerce and shipping, but this year it just so happened to include a higher number of holster and gun companies. Coincidence? Even if it’s 100% legit and that’s the reason, the only reason this information was asked for they don’t need my home address to figure out what they are asking for.

As a former UPS package car driver, I’m gonna pin this squarely on UPS drivers, helpers, warehouse staff or local level management. We know damn well what’s in boxes marked “ORM-D” with a blue diamond on it. We know almost to the caliber what those boxes from BGS in Paris, KY have in them. The size, shape, external markings and weight are a giant neon sign to anyone who’s into firearms, been around shipping and logistics for half a minute, or both.
Additionally, some shippers are incredibly stupid as regards packaging. I delivered ammo to one of the local sheriff departments, and it was in white box packaging, banded and taped together, with the damn package labels indicating caliber and grain to the outside. No discretion at all, and if I were an unscrupulous driver I could have marked the shipment not found on truck and hocked the lot.
The blame is probably squarely in the center of a Venn diagram of woke UPS management (whether under pressure from activists or politicians or on their own initiative), thieving UPS employees, ignorant or lazy shippers, and porch pirates (lots of ammo is not shipped signature required and thus will be left on porches and the like).
