Well, I guess there is still a sliver of hope for this country. Had it been in NY, he would have been arrested, handcuffed, beaten, and shot himself for attempting to help the officer.

doubt that. Any cop would be happy as hell to get help in an oh shit situation like that. I know a few people who have helped cops out of jams and the cops really didn’t even take names or anything. Just said see you. I think for two reasons they don’t want to admit they got beat up and the other to protect the citizen. Granted the citizens that I know did not pull those guns.

I’d help a cop in any situation if it came to it. I like this guy I’d avoid a fiat fight at almost all costs. I’m not into rolling around on the ground while I have a gun on me. It pops out or the perp gets his hands on it, not good.
