How am I just hearing about this?

New gun restrictions headed to Vermont governor's desk

The legislation would raise the minimum legal age required to buy firearms in Vermont to 21, expand background checks for private gun sales, ban bump stocks and magazines of more than 10 rounds for long guns and 15 rounds for pistols.

So I'm a bit confused on this. From another article it was stated that their house and senate had passed two similar bills but one had magazine restrictions. Don't they need to come together on a common bill before its off to be signed?

Other thread derailed......This VT thing is really bad. 1st off VT has no crime and the argument that it will save lives has no merit. They know that....Facts are extremely obvious in this case. Secondly, VT governor said he knows people are upset but they will get used to the new normal. Are u kidding me. That is let them eat cake talk. VT is the land of Constitutional carry....if it can happen here it can happen anywhere....maybe not this year but in 2, or 3... Folks, SCOTUS is at a standstill right now and the more states enacting this shit in the interim, it will be accepted practice if it even gets to SCOTUS. It is contagious.

Vermont gun owners are the "leave me alone, and Ill leave you alone" type gun owners and are not usually very outspoken.(unlike Texas gun owners)
The governor knew that and used it.
"They will get used to the new normal"
He says that because there wasnt alot of pushback from gun owners.

I've been following it over on the AR forum for about a week now,it deeply pains me to see Vermonters rights go down the shitter in such a knee jerk fashion as ours did here but at least theirs didn't go in the middle of the night without notice,not that they really have a say in it anyways.

I hail from northern Vermont and have allot of Family up there,I always thought if there was one thing that would stay safe up there it was the Second Amendment but I sadly guess I was wrong.One of my cousins there was furious when Emperor Cummhole stuffed the safeact up our asses,I can only imagine how he is feeling about it happening where he lives.

ding ding ding ... It happens every where, tools want a piece of free america, they move in implement the same BS laws they lived by before and create the same cease pools they left. YOU MOVED FOR A REASON, the policies where your where didn't work. It happened in Westchester, it was a huge wave post 9/11 ... after the attack the sheep flocked to high and dry land, only to fuck it up. Urban sprawl is an infection on society.

My family left Yonkers for fresh air and the great outdoors of Westchester. We left the city mentality behind. That's not the case anymore.

Maybe I'm wrong but has there been any public outrage? Are Vermonters just letting this happen? This would be their first state law restricting guns, I find it hard to believe they are letting this go. A sad day.
