It's not the business of the govt. if someone wants to die or not. Imagine having terminal cancer or some other horrible disease constantly in pain and you can't choose to end it. We put pets down so they don't suffer but don't allow people to choose and force them to be in horrible pain. It's fucking barbaric.

It’s not the business of the government and I will agree with you but doctors take an oath to do no harm and killing people is causing them harm.
There are plenty of ways to do this or go about this without the government and medical professionals getting involved.

You'd say killing them is causing harm.

I'd say forcing them to be alive and in horrible constant pain is causing harm. I'm sure if you ask one of those patients that want to end life on their terms but can't, they can tell you very distinctly about the harm the doctors are causing them.

So it sounds like either action the doctor takes is actually causing harm.



My standard is you should have autonomy and control of your body and life. It's not the government who should decide, you should decide.

I'd say forcing them to be alive and in horrible constant pain is causing harm. I'm sure if you ask one of those patients that want to end life on their terms but can't, they can tell you very distinctly about the harm the doctors are causing them.

I don’t really care if it’s end of life and the doctor simply just needs to administer and extra mil or two of morphine to ease the pain and it’s done. Chalk it up to a mistake or easing their pain. What I have a problem with is doctor assisted suicide on people that aren’t end of life as in what Canada does.
Again the doctor not the government are needed for this to be done.
